Artist Statement

My work disrupts ordinary ways of seeing to reveal a more flexible and fluid world, one that is quietly alive and beckoning. I create mixed-media assemblages that alter the viewer’s perception: subtle curvatures and openings redefine space and objects; translucent surface treatments dissolve edges; new and intuitive architectures emerge. 

Through time-based processes of sculpture, performance, and mark-making, I investigate the relationship between consciousness and the circumstances these material interventions create. By blurring, blending, and experimenting with material relationships, I invite more imaginative ways of being where viewers notice themselves noticing.

These experiences affirm our human-earth connection, unveiling a world that is vital and breathing. A world to be cherished and deserving of our care and protection.
